SCHOOL JITSU PROJECT







THE PROJECT CONSISTS OF 42 GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS FROM ADEC - ABU DHABI EDUCATION COUNCIL, INCLUDING 6 GIRLS SCHOOLS, WHERE STUDENTS FROM 9 TO 13 YEARS OLD HAVE BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU CLASSES AS PART OF THE CURRICULAR GRADE. AROUND 20 THOUSAND KIDS TRAINING BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU IN ABU DHABI.
THIS PROJECT WAS A SPECIAL REQUEST OF H. H. SHEIKH MOHAMMAD BIN ZAYED AL NAHYAN TO THE EMIRATES TEAM HEAD COACH CARLOS SANTOS, THAT STARTED IN 2008. AT MAY OF THE LAST YEAR H. H. SHEIKH MOHAMMAD BIN ZAYED AL NAHYAN SAID HE EXPECTS IN 2015 UP TO 500 SCHOOLS PARTICIPATING IN THE SCHOOL JITSU PROGRAM.

IT'S OUT THE NEW EDITION OF THE ABU DHABI JIU JITSU MAGAZINE, WITH 11 THOUSAND COPIES. IT'S THE FIRST AND THE ONLY BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU MAGAZINE IN THE ARAB COUNTRIES.
ON THE COVER H. H. SHEIK MOHAMMED BIN ZAYED AL NAHYAN, THE WORLD PATRON OF THE PROFESSIONAL JIU JITSU.

GEORGE SAINT PIERRE IN THE ADCC



INVITED BY FELLOW CANADIANS LIVING IN THE REGION TO GIVE A QUICK SEMINAR OF WRESTLING, GEORGE SAINT PIERRE TOOK THE OPPORTUNITY TO GIVE A SHARP IN JIU JITSU AT THE HEADQUARTERS OF EMIRATES TEAM. HE ALSO TALKED WITH MANY FIGHTERS OF VARIOUS FORMS OF COMBAT IN THE ADCC. AMONG THEM THE COACHES JÚNIOR (ANGRA) AND OSCAR JR.

THE COACH OSCAR JR IS THIRD PLACE IN THE ASIAN SUPER CUP




ASIAN SUPER CUP 2009 ONCE AGAIN MADE HISTORY. IT WAS BROADCAST 5 HOURS LIVE IN ABU DHABI SPORT TV CHANNEL. OSCAR JR TOOK THE THIRD PLACE IN BLACK BELT LIGHTWHEITH DIVISION (UNDER 73KG). OSCAR JR IS COACH OF SAAD IBEM MOAATH SCHOOL - AL BAHIA.

2 nd PLACE - SAMUEL HERTZOG (Brazil)
